1. Overview
By placing an order through this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.
2. Puppy Availability and Ordering
- All puppies listed are subject to availability.
- Listings may be updated or removed without notice.
- A puppy is only secured once a non-refundable deposit has been received.
3. Deposits and Payments
- A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy.
- The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to transport.
- If your selected puppy becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, you may choose a full refund of your deposit or transfer it to another available puppy.
4. Pricing
- All prices are in AUD and include GST where applicable.
- Prices may change at any time, but confirmed orders will remain unaffected.
5. Transport and Delivery
- Transport and delivery are included for locations within 40 km of Perth Domestic Airport.
- Delivery outside this area may be possible, but must be arranged and agreed upon prior to placing a deposit or completing your purchase.
- Puppies from interstate breeders are transported by air using pet-safe carriers in temperature-controlled, pressurised cabins.
- No quarantine is required for interstate transport within Australia.
6. Health and Veterinary Care
- All puppies are vet-checked, vaccinated, microchipped, and wormed before delivery.
- DNA testing of parents is provided where relevant.
- While every effort is made to ensure health, we cannot guarantee the absence of future illness or congenital conditions not visible at the time of sale.
7. Handling and Supervision
- Puppies must be handled gently and with care.
- Children must be supervised at all times when interacting with puppies.
- Rough play, chasing, or unsupervised carrying can lead to injury or distress.
- Claremont Puppies is not responsible for injury caused by mishandling or unsupervised interaction.
8. Genetic Conditions and Breeding Status
- Unless otherwise specified, parent dogs have not been DNA-tested for breed-specific disorders.
- You are encouraged to research common conditions in the breed(s) of your puppy.
- Puppies are sold as companion animals only, not for breeding.
- No guarantees are provided regarding fertility.
- Sterilisation by 6 months is strongly recommended.
9. Quarantine and Early Care
- Your puppy must not access public or unclean outdoor areas until 10 days after their final vaccination.
- Do not take your puppy to parks, beaches, footpaths, or unenclosed gardens before this time.
- Your backyard is suitable only if unvaccinated dogs haven’t accessed it in the past 12 months.
- Avoid stressful travel in the first 14 days after your puppy arrives home.
10. Diet and Feeding
- Puppies must not eat mulch, snails, plants, or other garden items.
- Use treats (e.g. rawhide, pigs’ ears) in moderation only.
- Puppies should remain on their current food for several weeks, with any dietary changes introduced gradually.
- Fresh water must be available at all times.
11. Pet Insurance
- Your puppy comes with 28 days of free Petplan insurance, activated approximately 72 hours after purchase.
- For puppies with Pug ancestry (e.g. Chugs, Jugs), a post-purchase vet check is required to activate the policy. A form will be provided for your vet to complete.
12. Refunds, Returns and Exchanges
We do not offer change-of-mind refunds for live animals. Refunds or exchanges may be considered if:
- A serious health condition not disclosed at sale is diagnosed by a registered vet within 7 days of delivery
- The puppy received is materially different from what was described
All refund requests must be submitted with documentation within 30 days of receiving your puppy.
13. Refunds for Physical Goods (Accessories)
- Unused items may be returned within 30 days, in original condition and packaging.
- Non-returnable items include:
- Puppies
- Food and treats
- Gift cards
- Opened or used health-related items
- Return shipping is at the buyer’s expense. Use a trackable method.
14. Consumer Rights
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected. You may be entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair if your purchase is faulty or not as described.
